Theresa M. Whirlwind Horse was born on September 28, 1955 to Levi and Ruby (Lamont) Whirlwind Horse in Pine Ridge, SD. Theresa made her journey to the Spirit World on February 14, 2023 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Theresa was a very beautiful and kind person with a unique personality; she loved to bead, bake, cook, and can fruit. She was a very talented cook and a very independent person. To all the young children she was grandma, she always had treats for them and had something for everyone else; no one went away from her house hungry. Theresa was the pillar to our district, she touched many lives in our district and she will be greatly missed.
Theresa is survived by her sister, Mary (Albert) Jealous of Him; adopted sisters, Carmen (Tony) Spotted Elk, Colene Bald Eagle, Susan Big Crow, and Phyllis Campbell; hunka sons, Tim Wardell and Art Has No Horse, Jr.; hunka daughters, Kim Wardell and Sherrie Has No Horse; and numerous nieces, nephews, & grandchildren.
Theresa was preceded in death by her daughters, Asia Ryn and Autumn Dawn Salway; parents, Levi and Ruby Whirlwind Horse; and her three brothers, Wayne, Levi Willis, Jr., and Arveal Whirlwind Horse.
